Who We Are:
ImpactAgri – Project Developer & Implementer
ImpactAgri is an experienced agribusiness project developer, creating large-scale projects across sub-Saharan Africa that are environmentally sustainable and socially-inclusive. The team has experience across project financing, agronomy, forestry (e.g. REDD+), and social performance as well as a vast network of input providers, operators, processors, offtakers, and investors.
For this project, involving the implementation of Eco-Processing Centres and sustainable agroforestry in Burkina Faso, ImpactAgri has established a consortium of experienced organisations (both local and international) that will manage and ensure the success of the project. The consortium includes:
Agritech – African Agricultural Farm Management Company
Agritech – has existing agricultural operations in Burkina Faso, Ghana and Nigeria, Cameroon, DRC, and Cote D’Ivoire. Over the past 15 years, this West African company has marshalled world-class technology and mobilizing rural communities in agroindustrial efforts, centred upon the creation and commercialization of bio-energy products and solar energy.
Karikis – Shea Processing Training Company
Since the late 1980’s Kakris has supported international lifestyle and food brands. It focuses on the production, processing and marketing of agricultural products, particularly those related to shea. Karikis has trained over 1,000 women’s groups on good processing practices for nuts and shea butter across Burkina Faso, as well as various other countries in the region.
Just Real Ingredients – International Trading Company
An international company specializing in the account management of the selling channels, import, distribution, repackaging, branding, marketing, certification and general administration in bringing quality products from Africa into global markets. The company brings together a team with extensive experience working with multiple Fast Moving Consumer Goods Companies.
The National Union of Shea Producers – The Women Producers
The organisation consists of approximately 5,000 women’s groups in Burkina Faso. Women’s groups are core to this project and will therefore hold significant equity in the consortium. They are the direct beneficiaries of the eco-processing centres developed through this project and will receive 2x – 5x their current income while producing butter more efficiently with mechanized technology, in both a cleaner and safer environment.
Isomet – A Specialist Clean Technology Engineering Company
A Burkina Faso company established in 1997, which focuses on energy efficiency, renewable energy systems and mechanical engineering. The company has built numerous agro-food processing facilities (particularly for shea), hybrid ovens, and refrigeration chains, as well as a variety of off-grid renewable energy sources.
